Marine shale and siltstone; deltaic sandstone; lagoonal and lacustrine stromatolitic dolomite and sedimentary magnesite. Upper part of Burra Group - Sarig
NEOPROTEROZOIC starting in the Sturtian and ending in the Torrensian
Stonyfell Quartzite
The Summit is comprised of the Wattle Park Member
ADELAIDE GEOSYNCLINE
The Stonyfell Quartzite is comprised of 3 Members:
.Wattle Park Member
The Wattle Park Member is comprised of major Quartzite with feldspathic coarse-grained sandstone and shale.
.Slapes Gully Member (Not Visible At The Summit)
Within the Slapes Gully Member, Sandstone is feldspathic, calcareous and silty. Calcareous shale interbeds and thin quartzite bands are also visible in the member.
.Greenhill Member (Not Visible At The Summit)
Comprised of sandstone and quartzite.
