GEOLOGY
Located in the Adelaide Geosyncline (Adelaide Superbasin) and the Nackara Arc of the Adelaide Rift Complex, the sediments range fro Nepprotozoic to Cambrain and have been folded and metamorphosed by the Delamerian Orogen from 520 to 490 million years ago.

Wilyerpa Formation
Yundamutana Subgroup, Glaciomarine diamictite, sandstone, siltstone, conglomerate and ironstone.
Siltstone, green. Lower third is fine grained, includes glacial dropstones; middle unit is medium to coarse sandstone; upper unit is siltstone with minor sandstone. Minor diamictite, sandy and pebbly dolomite.
